Need Help Picking a Profession? - Guild Wars Forums

2nd time asking but its different this time: Anyway, I have 2 char slots left so im gonna make someting else. I dont know what to decide from War, Para, or Sin. I have reasons i like each too!
War: In Pvp, they just pwn everything they hit, and can take alot of damage. I always enjoy watching in observe mode how they do in GvG/HA.
Paragon: I know some will disagree but, i really do like paragon and they are great in JQ and FA. They do good damage and have support shouts which help greatly, yet doesnt seem they are that used in pvp.
Assassin: I made an assassin and loved it, in pvp i usually played my sin in. They have great attack combos, armor, and are fun both in pve/pvp. Yet in the back of my mind i wonder..."what if 1 day A-net uses the Great Nerf Hammer on them?" will they be any good after? I dont UWSC, the only SF farm i really ever did was kegging for the gold drops for title. I had an assassin before yet sadly i deleted because it had a really lame name...really lame.

So for all those war, paragon, sin lovers; Please help me choose!!!

~It would be great to state why they are superior and why you think they are better profession from the other to choose from.

I am actually considering buying another char slot (i have 8) just for a war, they rape pvp and pve, which i both enjoy.

On the otherhand, my sin is my #1 money maker. He has like 10m exp from Sc's, he also got me my FoW armor ^_____^.

Imo I wouldnt make a para unless you want to only be an imbagon (for pve€, they have no other useful builds for pve

Just my 2 cents, wether you follow it or not, have fun with what you choose! ;D

Depends on what you want them for. Eles are good farmers+support+damage dealers. Warriors are useful for DoA and such. Rits and such are better in PvP
Paras are bleck as far as I'm concerned. Sins can make a lot of money. Wars are also good for uw farms.

EDIT: Sins are good for using dervish attacks and rangers too. You can run some other useful builds and tank just as good as wars.

Warr - Pros - They are just plain fun, run in, whirlwind crap, deads
Cons - None, you have echo mending for any bad parts

Sin - Relatively versatile, not to mention the meta farmers atm. Extremely high squishy DPS
Cons - Squishy squish no tank stuff sides shadowferm.

Para - Out of 7000 hours over 4 years, with mine reaching his 2nd birthday. He has barely over 150 hours.

Cons - In PvE you're going to be expected to run some type of imbagon if you're in a team, which gets old, fast. Spam SY whenever it charges? Bleh.
Paras are relatively stuck with spears, although there are a few scythe/hammergon builds (Suck)

Granted they give tons of support...you really don't need it.

Pros - By god they are the sexiest class ever...Michael Jackson dance..entrancing eyes nomnomnom

But you see, just run a/d crit scythe (with a-scan, killing enemys in 1 hit, and bosses in 3) once they DO nerf sf and you can still blow shit up!

Its a win-win situation imo

I would say assassin, because to me, they are much more exciting to play than a paragon or warrior in both PvE and PvP. Plus you can do some nice farms with that nifty shadow form skill

I'd go War, just because they have a good variety of stuff they can use and they have a good deal of flexibility. With Paras, people will expect you to run only one build, and Assassins tend to be a bit gimmicky (thats how I see they anyway).

The only paragon build I like is the Ebon Dust Aura spear spammer, which would actually counter warriors/assassins etc in pvp. And it isn't too shabby in pve either.
